Porn Films Racket Case: Poonam Pandey Gets Protection From Arrest In Pornography Case Involving Shilpa Shetty’s Husband Raj Kundra-Report
Poonam Pandey, of late, has been making headlines for multiple reasons. Pandey has been accused in the FIR along with actress Sherlyn Chopra in the alleged porn films racket case. In December, the apex court had granted protection from arrest to Shilpa Shetty's husband Raj Kundra in a case related to pornographic videos. Now, Poonam can heave a sigh of relief as she has been granted protection from arrest in the porn films racket case, in which businessman Raj Kundra was arrested.

Supreme Court, on Tuesday, reportedly issued protection to Poonam Pandey, who is a co-accused in the alleged pornography case. As per a report in ANI, a bench of Justices Vineet Saran and B V Nagarathna issued a notice to the Maharashtra government after an appeal filed by the actress against a Bombay High Court order was junked. The Bench reportedly said, "No coercive action against the appellant. Issue notice."

Poonam Pandey had filed an application with the Apex Court seeking interim protection against her arrest. This came after the Bombay High Court rejected her anticipatory bail plea on November 25, 2021.

In her plea, the actress reportedly stated that she was not an owner or a partner in any of the platforms and that the complaint against her was about a video portraying her which was available on some platforms.

In December, Raj Kundra was granted 4 weeks of protection from arrest by the apex court in connection with an FIR registered against him for allegedly distributing pornographic videos.
